New Cisco UCS Certification DataCore recently announced that its SANsymphony™-V, version 10.0.1, has successfully achieved Cisco Interoperability Verification Testing (IVT) compatibility certification with Cisco's Unified Computing System, the UCS C-Series Rack-Servers. Cisco, pioneers of The Internet of Everything (IoE) continues to bring together people, processes, data and things to enhance the relevancy of network connections. As a member of their Cisco® Solution Partner Program, DataCore Software is able to quickly create and deploy solutions to enhance the capabilities, performance and management of the network to capture value in the IoE. New Appliances with Fujitsu DataCore continues to build on its European partnership with Fujitsu. FUJITSU PRIMERGY servers and FUJITSU ETERNUS® DX storage systems were recently certified ‘DataCore Ready’ allowing DataCore and Fujitsu to provide even more choices for comprehensive Software-defined Storage platforms and simple hyper-converged appliance solutions. DataCore and Fujitsu also introduced a pre-installed DataCore SVA (Storage Virtualisation Appliance) line of jointly integrated and pre-tested and certified, turn-key storage virtualisation appliances. These easy-to-use appliances deliver outstanding performance, availability and scalability at a fraction of the cost of traditional storage arrays. For further information please visit: DataCore_SVA.
In addition to the five existing models of the Storage Virtualisation Appliance that are mainly used in SAN or metro-cluster environments, DataCore will preview a new line of appliances developed with Fujitsu for Small and Medium Enterprise (SME). These hyper-converged “Building Block Appliances” are highly integrated data center solutions that are designed to simplify the management and provisioning of storage over iSCSI and CIFS/NFS and optimize the hosting of virtual machines with VMware, Hyper-V or mixed environments, especially for clustered Windows applications (Sharepoint, Exchange, Dynamics ERP), Scaleout File Services, SQL Server, Data Center in a Box etc.
Enterprise-class Performance and New Random Write Acceleration Optimizations The newest enhancements to DataCore’s SANsymphony-V and Virtual SAN software further boost I/O performance and enterprise class scaling, doubling the amount of nodes supported in Virtual SAN configurations supporting up to 64 servers and providing the capability to deploy larger-scale 64 petabyte configurations with the power to drive over 100 million IOPs. The new DataCore release includes new Emulex 16Gb Fibre Channel support and also features a breakthrough Random Write Accelerator, an innovation designed to highly optimise random write processing (boosting speeds up to 30 times faster depending on workloads), especially for transaction-oriented applications like databases and ERP systems. Moreover, the current PSP1 (product service pack) update features an enhanced Quality of Sevices (QoS) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) in hybrid storage infrastructures with resources in private and public Cloud.
Free-of-charge DataCore Virtual SAN for virtualization experts DataCore offers free-of-charge Virtual SAN-licences for non-production environments. For further information visit usat Booth H2/A44 or see http://datacore.com/products/features/virtual-san.
DataCore Software will introduce itself at the “Virtualisation, Security & Storage Forum” of CeBIT in Hall 2, Booth A44.
